I can't believe the cover for Chuck Wendig's final Miriam Black book has been floating about for a month and I had no idea. NO IDEA. But now I do! Look at the pretty....I'm so excited for The Cormorant; and when we finally move I'm going to have to find somewhere to display all three (and maybe the Blue Blazes) of my precious Joey Hi-Fi covers. Cover found here at Angry Robot.

Cool Covers of the Future
The lovely Strange Chemistry released the cover art for Jonathan L. Howard's follow up to Katya's World, Katya's War, which will be released in November this year. I wasn't sure at first, but the more I look, the more I find to like!

Cool Covers of the Past: Planet of the Apes
I read Planet of the Apes last summer. Again, this was more the cool cover than anything else that led me to pick up a copy from my library. I haven't seen the original film and the only tedious link I have to Planet of the Apes is the Dr. Zaius song from The Simpsons..."Can I play the piano? ... Well I couldn't before!"
It's been too long for me to recall my thoughts from reading and form a proper review. However, I'd still like to share the awesome cover that I first spotted at the British Library's gift shop. I mean, who doesn't like a book that comes with it's own set of 3D glasses?

Cool Covers of The Future
Artwork for Chuck Wendig's latest novel has been released via The Founding Fields. The Blue Blazes is out in June and, like Wendig's previous two books for Angry Robot, the cover has been designed by the extremely talented Joey Hi-Fi. There's so much to look at, and as per the art on both Blackbirds and Mockingbird, I assume that every detail must relate to something in the story. It is certainly a proper eye catching, please buy me now cover.

Cool Covers of The Future
Bizarrely, I found this via Adam Christopher's tweet to check out Tor.com. iD is Madeline Ashby's follow up to her debut novel vN, and is released on June 25. I honestly can't stop staring...

Cool Covers of the Future
It's been a strange week in that I've only had time, and the head space, to do a Top Ten Tuesday post. I've got plenty to review (and some reviews to edit) but I'm all over the place at the moment. Hopefully, after tomorrow, I'll calm down and get back into the swing of all book blogging things.
In the meantime, I spotted this via Gail Carriger's twitter feed and web page:
I love the wall paper! It would look great in my fantasy library!

Cool Covers Of The Future
First spotted at this website via Angry Robot. Love the covers for Chris F. Holm's The Collector series in that they look like old classics covers you find in second hand bookshops. I bought the first book, Dead Harvest, because of the striking cover and also have a copy of the second book, The Wrong Goodbye, on my tablet but have yet to read either as my library addiction has been hard to give up. The Big Reap isn't out until August 2013 (birthday present for moi?), so I've got plenty of time to get reading, and hopefully what is inside it equally as marvellous as the cover.

Cool Covers of the Future
Broken Homes didn't make it on to my Top Ten as I spotted the new cover only moments ago over at The Folly. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to Peter Gant's latest adventure, even though the last two books haven't lived up to the amazing Rivers of London. Most of all I'm glad they've kept with the same style of cover - don't you just hate it when they change mid-series? - as they're really very clever and I haven't seen anything similar yet.

Cool Covers of the Future
Found the cover for The Life Beyond over at Goodreads. I really loved the cover of it's predecessor, The Other Life, and am glad that they've kept the same motif going but have inverted some of the colours to give it it's own identity.

Cool Covers of the Future
Spotted this today over at Angry Robot's website I've got the first book, Empire State, but haven't read it yet. I picked that up as part of a 'buy one, get on half price' offer purely because of the cover (and okay, the blurb sounded mighty interesting too) and I might have to purchase this to have a matching set of awesomeness.
